Louisville, KY (August 26, 2026) – A Louisville Metro Police officer was hurt Monday night after another car pulled in front of her cruiser on Dixie Hwy.
The crash happened around 8:25 p.m. in the 9000 block of Dixie Hwy, just south of Pages Ln. Police said the officer was responding to a call with her emergency lights and siren activated when the other vehicle pulled into her path.
The two vehicles then collided. The officer was alert and conscious and was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver was not hurt. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under review, and the investigation is continuing. We hope the injured officer has a smooth recovery.
