What Happens After a Residential House Fire
House fires can spread quickly, especially when flames reach the exterior or front areas of a structure. Fire crews focus on containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.
Rescue efforts are often a priority when people are inside. Firefighters may enter the structure to locate and remove occupants while managing smoke and heat.
After the fire is controlled, damage assessment begins, and residents may be displaced. The condition of the home and safety concerns determine when or if people can return.
