Sylvan Twp., MI (June 26, 2026) – One person was critically hurt, and another was hospitalized after a head-on collision on M-52 in Sylvan Township on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred around 10:40 a.m. on June 25, involving two vehicles on M-52. One person was flown by helicopter to the University of Michigan Hospital in critical condition, while another was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Following the wreck, M-52 was closed in both directions between I-94 and Jerusalem Rd beginning around 11:40 a.m. The roadway was expected to remain closed for several hours while crews worked and investigators examined what led to the collision.
The identities of the people involved had not been released at the time of publication. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, with additional information expected as the review continues.
