Bridgeton, MO (August 20, 2026) – A 49-year-old contractor died early on Tuesday, August 18, while working in a construction zone along westbound I-70 at St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton. The fatality was reported around 2:30 a.m.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the contractor died at the work zone overnight. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Matthew Brown.
