Chesnee, SC (July 20, 2026) – A 23-year-old man lost his life in a Saturday afternoon collision on the 4000 block of Highway 221 near Old Coulter Road in Chesnee on July 18. Emergency units were called to the roadway shortly after 2:05 p.m.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the person who died as Quimir Anthony Ferrell, 23, of Landrum. No additional information about other people involved or the circumstances leading up to the collision has been released.
A forensic examination for Ferrell was scheduled for Monday. Further details about the wreck were not immediately available. The cause of the crash continues to be examined as investigators work to gather more information.
