Macon, GA (June 5, 2026) – A passenger died following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday night at the intersection of Bethel Church Road and Knoxville Road in Bibb County.
According to investigators, the accident was reported just before 10 p.m. A Nissan Altima was traveling south on Knoxville Road when an Audi SUV heading east on Bethel Church Road entered the intersection and struck the Nissan.
A passenger in the Nissan, identified as 52-year-old Tony Gales, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash, and officials confirmed that the victim’s next of kin has been notified. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under review as investigators continue to gather information.
