Wappapello, MO (June 25, 2026) – One person died on Tuesday morning, June 23, after a two-vehicle accident on Route T in Butler County. The crash happened around 11:40 a.m., about four miles south of Wappapello.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 63-year-old Wappapello woman was driving a 2016 GMC Terrain north on Route T. An 85-year-old Wappapello man was driving a 1999 GMC Sierra north on the same road.
Investigators said the Terrain pulled into the path of the Sierra. The Sierra driver died at the site after the collision.
The Terrain had extensive damage, while the Sierra was listed as a total loss. Both vehicles were towed from the roadway.
