Las Vegas, NV (August 5, 2026) – One person was killed, and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of W Desert Inn Road and Decatur Boulevard in Las Vegas on Monday, August 3.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the collision shortly before 2 p.m. Investigators later corrected their initial account, stating that the driver of a 2015 Nissan Versa was traveling eastbound on W Desert Inn Road and attempted to turn left into a parking lot. Police said the Nissan entered the path of a westbound 2020 Hyundai Tucson, causing a collision that redirected the Hyundai into a stopped 2003 Toyota Tundra that was attempting to exit the parking lot.
The driver of the Toyota, a 77-year-old man, was identified by police. The Hyundai’s 31-year-old driver and a 4-year-old passenger were transported to UMC Trauma with minor injuries. The Nissan’s driver, who is in their 70s, suffered moderate injuries, while the passenger, also in their 70s, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate the collision.
