What Typically Gets Reviewed After a Serious Roadway Collision?
After a serious roadway collision, investigators may review the exact time it occurred and how the vehicles were positioned before and after the event. They also examine driver statements when available, along with any nearby camera footage that may help clarify what happened.
Vehicle damage patterns can offer clues about the movement and force between the cars. Medical reports are also reviewed to better understand how injuries occurred and the level of harm involved.
Roadway factors such as traffic signals, signage visibility, and surface markings are commonly assessed. Weather and lighting at the time may also be considered. All of these elements help build a clearer picture of how the situation developed and what contributed to it.
