Troy Township, OH (August 10, 2026) – One teen died, and several other people were hurt after a head-on traffic accident on Route 422 in Troy Township on Saturday, August 8.
Around midnight, a sedan was traveling westbound on Route 422 when it crossed the center line and struck a hatchback head-on, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The sedan then left the roadway and overturned.
One juvenile was taken to a nearby hospital, where the person was pronounced dead. Another teen was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while multiple other people involved in the wreck were also taken to a hospital. Drugs and alcohol are believed to have contributed to the collision, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The investigation remains ongoing, and our condolences go out to the family of the juvenile who died.
