Marshall, MO (August 29, 2026) – A 52-year-old man was moderately injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle wreck on northbound US 65 at Freedom Ave. The collision occurred around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, August 27, in Saline County.
The man was driving a 2024 Racka golf cart when he attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a northbound 2001 Freightliner, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by EMS for treatment.
The Freightliner driver, a 62-year-old Springfield man, was not listed with an injury. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the site.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under review. We hope the injured man has a smooth recovery.
