Springfield, MO (July 8, 2026) – One person was injured after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Monday morning, July 6, outside a restaurant on South Campbell Avenue in Springfield. The accident happened in front of Krackin Cajun Seafood House.
Police said a woman driving a gray Acura circled the parking lot several times before the vehicle hit a pedestrian near a construction section of the restaurant. The Acura then stopped on the other side of the construction zone.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The restaurant was closed at the time after its roof collapsed on June 8.
Investigators continue reviewing what led to the collision outside the business. We hope the person hurt receives the care needed for a full recovery.
