We hope Shoop receives the care needed and recovers fully.
Highway Intersection Crashes Bring Sudden Injury Risks
Highway intersection crashes can happen quickly when vehicles approach from different directions. Drivers may be watching cross traffic, signs, lane markings, and speed changes while moving through the same crossing.
Airbags may help reduce some injuries, but people inside a vehicle can still be hurt by the force of a collision. Head, neck, chest, and back injuries may require medical evaluation even when early reports describe them as non-life-threatening.
Rural highway intersections can also involve vehicles traveling at steady speeds. After an injury accident, reviews sometimes focus on travel direction, vehicle position, speed, road surface, traffic control, and where each vehicle was before contact.
