Staten Island, NY (June 3, 2026) – One person was injured on Tuesday morning, June 2, after a two-car collision on the Staten Island Expressway. The accident was reported around 11:05 a.m. on the New Jersey-bound side, about a half-mile before Exit 13A near Clove Road.
Emergency units were called to the expressway after the report came in. An SUV with heavy front-end damage was seen blocking the HOV lane.
Emergency transmissions indicated that one occupant had to be removed from a vehicle. That person was taken to a nearby hospital.
The FDNY did not release the hospital name or the patient’s condition. Traffic remained heavy in the New Jersey-bound lanes near the wreck into the early afternoon.
