Weirton, WV (July 21, 2026) – A fatal dirt bike crash was reported on Kings Creek Road in Weirton, Hancock County. Officials dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, after a dirt bike and passenger vehicle collided.
Investigators said Nathan Riggs, 34, was operating a dirt bike when he lost control while traveling through a curve. The dirt bike crossed the center line and struck an oncoming passenger vehicle. Riggs was taken to Weirton Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene while cooperating with the investigation.
