St. Croix County, WI (August 13, 2026) – One person was killed on Wednesday, August 12, after a two-vehicle crash on I-94 in St. Croix County.
According to a Wisconsin law enforcement press release, the crash happened at about 7:12 a.m. A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 43-year-old Scott Krelbert was traveling westbound when it deviated from its lane and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado driven by a 48-year-old man.
The impact forced the Colorado off the roadway and into the north ditch, where it struck several trees. The Colorado driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was being withheld pending notification of his family. Krelbert was not injured in the crash.
