Pico-Union, CA (August 5, 2026) — One pedestrian was killed in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the westbound I-10 Freeway near Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles on Monday, August 3.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:45 a.m., just west of the I-110 interchange. Authorities closed all but one westbound lane while the California Highway Patrol investigated the scene.
A SigAlert remained in effect for several hours, and traffic backed up beyond the I-110 interchange. All lanes reopened before 7:30 a.m. The circumstances leading to the fatal collision remain under investigation.
