Lancaster, MO (June 26, 2026) – One person was seriously hurt in a three-vehicle crash involving a semi at the intersection of U.S. Highway 63 and U.S. Highway 136 West near Lancaster on Wednesday afternoon.
The collision occurred shortly before 3:45 p.m. on June 24. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old man from Greentop was traveling east on Highway 136 when his car failed to yield to a southbound semi driven by a 61-year-old man from Baring.
After striking the car broadside, the semi continued into a northbound SUV operated by a 43-year-old woman from Unionville. The Greentop driver was flown to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
The semi driver and the SUV driver were not hurt. Investigators reported that all three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the wreck.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation as investigators work to identify all contributing factors.
