ORANGE COVE, Fresno County, Calif., Nov. 1, 2026 — A rollover crash hurt at least one driver on Thursday afternoon, October 29, on Manning Avenue near South Hills Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was first logged as a two-vehicle collision before radio traffic indicated as many as three vehicles may have been involved, the CHP log shows. One vehicle, a white Jeep Liberty, ended up on its side in the roadway, according to dispatch records. The driver was reported to be out of the vehicle, and occupants of another vehicle involved were also reportedly out of their car by the time units arrived.
Emergency medical crews were sent to the scene, and the extent of any injuries has not been released. The overturned Jeep blocked part of the eastbound lane, prompting a traffic hazard advisory, and a tow truck was requested to clear the scene.
The crash occurred near the boundary of CHP's local coverage area, and jurisdiction was reportedly split with the Visalia CHP office, which also covers the nearby intersection of Road 120 and Avenue 448. The Orange Cove Police Department assisted at the scene. No further details on what led to the crash have been released, and the incident remains under investigation.
We are hoping for the best for everyone involved and their families.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are some roads more likely to see rollover crashes than others?
Rural roads with higher speed limits, narrow shoulders or uneven pavement tend to see more rollovers than city streets, since there's less room to correct before a vehicle leaves the roadway.
What injuries are common when a vehicle rolls over?
Rollover crashes frequently cause head, neck and spinal injuries, along with broken bones, especially when occupants are thrown against the roof or doors of the vehicle.
What typically causes a vehicle to roll over?
Rollovers usually happen when a vehicle, especially one with a higher center of gravity like an SUV, turns sharply, overcorrects, or strikes an object or uneven surface at speed.
Why do rollover crashes tend to cause serious harm?
A rolling vehicle can strike occupants from multiple directions and may result in someone being partially or fully ejected if they aren't properly restrained.
