Orlando, FL (January 21, 2026) – A serious early morning crash between a car and a tractor-trailer resulted in a vehicle fire and left three people injured at the intersection of S Orange Blossom Trl and Consulate Dr in Orlando on Wednesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place when a Honda Accord attempted to make a left turn onto northbound S Orange Blossom Trl and collided with the left side of a tractor-trailer traveling east on Consulate Dr. The impact triggered a fire in both vehicles, sending thick smoke across the area near Florida’s Turnpike.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene shortly after 3:30 a.m., providing care to three individuals who suffered minor injuries. Two were transported to HCA Hunter’s Creek for further treatment, while the third was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. All injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
Authorities shut down the intersection as fire crews worked to extinguish the flames and law enforcement began their investigation. As of the latest update, the intersection remains closed as cleanup and inspection continue.
