Pacific, MO (August 17, 2026) – A 68-year-old Pacific man died, and another driver was seriously injured in a three-vehicle wreck near Beacon Car Wash on East Osage Street Saturday afternoon, August 15, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers said a Ford F-250 was stopped in the eastbound lane waiting to turn left when a Kia Soul behind it failed to stop and moved into the westbound lane to pass.
The Kia clipped the pickup’s rear driver’s side before colliding head-on with an oncoming Dodge Journey. The Kia’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dodge’s driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
