PALMDALE, Los Angeles County, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 — A man died Wednesday night, September 16, after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue P in Palmdale, according to investigators.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said the collision happened around 11:18 p.m. A passerby reported the crash to authorities, a sheriff's deputy said. The man died at the scene.
Sheriff's deputies remained at the scene investigating as of 3:50 a.m. Thursday. Sierra Highway was closed in both directions between Rancho Vista Boulevard and Avenue O-8 while the investigation continued.
