Amarillo, TX (July 14, 2026) – A passenger died following a multi-vehicle collision early on Sunday morning at the intersection of S Georgia St and SW 15th Ave in Amarillo.
The collision was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Investigators said a passenger car traveling north on S Georgia St failed to stop at a red light before striking an SUV and a pickup truck that were traveling west through the intersection. The car then continued north and hit another pickup truck before coming to a stop.
A passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released, and no additional information about others involved was immediately available. Officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision as the review remains active.
