Flint, MI (August 11, 2026) – A male pedestrian was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning, August 9, on James P. Cole Boulevard between Oregon and Alabama avenues. The collision occurred at about 2:17 a.m. while police were at the site of an unrelated traffic crash.
The pedestrian was on foot when he was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, according to a preliminary investigation. The driver did not stop afterward and left the area.
The suspect vehicle was described as a gray 2012 Chevrolet Corvette occupied by a male driver and male passenger. Investigators believe the Corvette may have significant damage to its front right corner.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and remained in critical but stable condition. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and processing evidence related to the collision.
