Jefferson Township, OH (July 28, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a serious pedestrian crash early on Sunday morning, July 26, on State Route 16 near Cabot Mills Road in Jefferson Township. The pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. when a westbound car traveling on State Route 16 struck a man who was walking alongside the roadway. Emergency units responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition. The driver and the vehicle’s passengers were not injured in the collision.
