Vista, CA (September 6, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run near 2553 North Santa Fe Avenue at about 6:14 p.m. on Friday, September 4. The address is along North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista.
The CHP log indicated that an unidentified vehicle struck the pedestrian and then left the area. A later update said the vehicle was last seen heading southbound.
A witness at the scene reportedly saw the vehicle and told investigators they knew who had been driving it. The circumstances surrounding the accident remained under investigation.
