Huntsville, AL (August 12, 2026) – A 65-year-old pedestrian succumbed to their injuries after being struck by a vehicle early on Monday morning, August 10, on University Drive in Huntsville. Police identified the victim as Peter D. Sepeda Jr. of Huntsville.
The fatal crash occurred near Putman Drive shortly before 5:45 a.m. The driver and passenger of the vehicle remained at the scene and suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the pedestrian was crossing the roadway when he walked into the lane of the moving vehicle.
No criminal charges are expected in connection with the crash. The incident remains under review following the fatal collision.
