Brooklyn, NY (July 20, 2026) – A 67-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a sidewalk near Franklin Avenue and St. Marks Avenue on Saturday afternoon, July 18. The crash was reported around 3:06 p.m.
According to reports, a Hyundai traveling southbound on Franklin Avenue collided with a Toyota driven by another motorist. The impact caused the Hyundai to leave the roadway and jump the curb, striking the pedestrian who was walking along the sidewalk.
The pedestrian suffered head trauma and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not been released. Both drivers remained at the scene following the crash. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the loved ones of the deceased.
