Las Vegas, NV (August 18, 2026) – A 34-year-old man was killed after a pickup truck struck him early on Sunday on the northbound I-15 near Flamingo Road.
The collision happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. on August 16, just south of Flamingo Road. The pedestrian, identified as Anthony Jeger of Damascus, Oregon, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Jeger later died at the hospital from his injuries. Police identified the pickup driver as Jose Manuel Trevizo III, 29, who was arrested on suspicion of impairment.
Trevizo faces charges including DUI resulting in serious bodily harm, reckless driving resulting in death or serious bodily harm, and failing to yield or exercise due care toward a pedestrian. He also faces charges related to vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
Northbound I-15 was closed at Russell Rd while investigators worked, with traffic diverted onto I-215. The investigation remains active as authorities examine the circumstances that led to the accident.
