Weatherford, TX (September 10, 2026) – A 47-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle along the 2600 block of South Main Street at about 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9.
The collision was reported in front of the Chick-fil-A. Emergency units arrived and found the pedestrian with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Drivers traveling during overnight hours may have fewer visual cues available than during daylight. Headlights illuminate only part of the roadway, and dark clothing, shadows, roadside lighting, or glare can make someone on foot harder to detect.
