Georgetown County, SC (August 26, 2026) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Lanes Creek Drive on Tuesday afternoon, August 25, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 1:31 p.m. while the pedestrian was in the roadway, and the driver fled afterward.
