Nighttime Pedestrian Crashes Bring Severe Injury Risks
Nighttime pedestrian crashes are especially dangerous because drivers may have less time to see someone in the roadway. Darkness, headlights, traffic flow, and nearby business entrances may all affect visibility.
Pedestrians have no physical protection when they are struck by a pickup truck or other vehicle. Head wounds, internal trauma, broken bones, and other serious injuries may require immediate hospital treatment.
Crashes along commercial roads may also involve several factors, including lane position, lighting, traffic speed, crossing points, and nearby driveways. Investigators frequently review those details to understand how contact occurred and whether roadway conditions contributed.
