Franklin County, MO (August 9, 2026) – An early morning accident left a 33-year-old pedestrian moderately injured after being struck by a Ford F350 on St Louis Rock Road near Cedar Valley Drive. The crash occurred at about 5:10 a.m. on Friday, August 7.
According to the crash report, the pedestrian was behind a trash truck and walked into the westbound lane to return a trash can. The 39-year-old driver of the Ford F350 applied the brakes and began to skid. The front of the truck then struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man from New Haven, was taken by Union Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
The Ford driver, who was from Villa Ridge, was not listed as injured. The incident remains under review.
