Peoria, IL (January 19, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a black Dodge Journey and a silver sedan at the intersection of Knoxville Ave and East Nebraska Ave in Peoria.

The collision occurred in the northbound lanes just south of the intersection. Engine 10 was dispatched to the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m., where first responders discovered a five-year-old girl with an arm injury. Medics quickly provided care and evaluated the child at the scene.

Traffic in the area was impacted as fire and medical teams worked to treat the injured and clear the roadway. Additional details about the other vehicle occupants have not been released at this time.

Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the crash to determine contributing factors.
