How Drivers and Pedestrians Can Prevent Crashes
Pedestrians should use marked crossings when available and check for approaching vehicles before entering a roadway. Wearing visible clothing can also help drivers see pedestrians, particularly in the evening.
Drivers should remain alert near crossings and areas where pedestrians may be present. Slowing down and watching for people entering the roadway can help reduce the risk of a pedestrian crash.
