Phoenix, AZ (January 27, 2026) – Authorities responded Monday morning to a hit-and-run collision involving a school bus traveling northbound on Arizona State Route 51 near the Bell Road on-ramp in Phoenix.
The incident was reported shortly before 7:30 a.m., when dispatch confirmed that a Paradise Valley school bus had been struck and the driver responsible fled the scene. The bus was carrying students at the time of the crash. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during initial communications.
Responding units located the bus blocking the right lane just north of the Bell Road intersection. Crews worked to manage the scene and ensure the safety of the students and others in the area while investigators began gathering details about the suspect vehicle.
The hit-and-run remains under investigation, and no information has been released about the suspect or vehicle involved.
We’re grateful no injuries were reported and commend the responders and school personnel for their swift actions to keep students safe.
