Phoenix, AZ (January 25, 2026) – A tragic pedestrian accident claimed the life of a young girl Tuesday night, January 20, near the intersection of 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the collision occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. when the girl attempted to cross Lower Buckeye Road mid-block and was struck by a westbound vehicle. Emergency responders from both the Phoenix Police and Fire Departments arrived at the scene and found the child suffering from critical injuries.
Medics administered emergency aid before transporting her to a local hospital. Despite their efforts, she was later pronounced deceased. The girl’s age and identity have not yet been publicly released.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Investigators noted that impairment may have been a factor, though no charges have been confirmed as of this report.
