Homer, GA (September 2, 2026) – A woman was killed, and another driver was injured on Tuesday after two pickups collided at Historic Homer Hwy and US 441. The accident happened around noon on September 1.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the woman was driving a Chevrolet Colorado eastbound on Homer Hwy when she failed to stop at a stop sign. A Ford F-150 traveling south on US 441 then struck the Colorado’s driver’s side.
The woman was trapped inside her vehicle and died from her injuries. The F-150 driver was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue reviewing the circumstances. Our condolences go to the woman’s family, and we hope the injured driver makes a full recovery.
