Oakdale, NY (July 29, 2026) – According to the West Sayville Fire Department, two drivers were injured after a pickup truck struck a sedan and crashed into a building on Montauk Highway in Oakdale on Monday morning, July 27. The collision happened after the pickup driver experienced a medical emergency while traveling westbound.
According to fire officials, the pickup truck hit an eastbound white sedan, trapping the sedan’s driver inside. The truck later lost its front driver-side wheel and crashed into Action Sports Ski Shop. Emergency units removed the sedan driver’s door to assist, while crews secured the pickup and assessed damage to the building. Both drivers were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
