Selden, KS (August 11, 2026) – A woman was seriously injured Monday night, August 10, when a pickup truck collided with a semitrailer in Sheridan County.
The wreck was reported around 9 p.m. at the junction of US-83, K-23 and K-383, about two miles east of Selden. A 2015 GMC Sierra was northbound on K-23 when it ran a stop sign and struck a 2015 Peterbilt semitrailer traveling southwest on K-383.
The pickup driver, Morgan L. Riley, 29, of Harrah, Oklahoma, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Jonathan D. Koehn, 44, of Scotia, Nebraska, drove the semitrailer and was taken to a hospital with suspected minor injuries.
Both drivers were alone in their vehicles. The investigation into the collision remains underway as additional details are reviewed.
