Pierce Township, OH (January 11, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision on State Route 749 in Clermont County left four individuals injured Saturday morning, prompting an investigation by the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash took place shortly before 10 a.m. along SR 749 in Pierce Township. According to initial findings, a westbound 2013 Hyundai Accent, driven by 41-year-old Jessie Herndon, crossed over the center line and collided with a 2017 GMC Yukon also traveling west, operated by 26-year-old Kyla Young.
The force of the impact sent the GMC toward the south side of the roadway, while both vehicles sustained notable damage. Emergency crews from the area responded quickly to the scene, where they assessed and treated the injured.
Herndon suffered serious injuries and was transported to UC Medical Center along with her passenger, 34-year-old Sally Patrick, who also sustained serious trauma. The occupants of the GMC, Kyla Young and her 27-year-old passenger, Aaron Young, were also taken to UC Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash and will evaluate contributing factors as they gather more evidence. No charges have been announced at this time, and SR 749 was partially closed during cleanup efforts.
Our hearts go out to all four individuals injured in this crash, and we hope for a full and swift recovery for each of them.
