Pittsburg, CA (January 18, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a crash involving injuries on Saturday morning along a busy stretch of Highway 4 in Contra Costa County.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred at approximately 11:26 a.m. on January 18 on CA-4 Westbound near the Loveridge Rd exit in Pittsburg. The collision impacted the center divider, prompting significant traffic delays as authorities worked to assist those involved and clear the roadway.

Paramedics arrived shortly after the crash and provided medical care to the individuals hurt in the incident. Officials have not yet released the specific number of injured victims and the severity of their injuries.

At least one lane was affected due to the positioning of the vehicles and emergency units, causing backups and congestion through the late morning hours. The exact circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation by CHP units.
