Pittsylvania County, VA (January 26, 2026) – A tragic single-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy Sunday evening. According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. on January 25 along Moorefield Bridge Road, near Red Bud Lane.
Troopers reported that a 2024 Can-Am Defender side-by-side utility vehicle was traveling north when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. The young passenger, identified as Briggs Pullin of Danville, was partially ejected during the rollover. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver, identified as 35-year-old Michael Pullin, also of Danville, was hospitalized with injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. Charges are pending, and the Virginia State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
