Forest Heights, MD (August 6, 2026) – A police cruiser struck another vehicle while searching for a reported stolen vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, near the intersection of Livingston Road and Crisfield Drive in Forest Heights.
The crash happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. when an unrelated civilian vehicle suddenly stopped in front of the police cruiser, according to officials. Both vehicles left the roadway, with the civilian vehicle striking two parked cars before stopping, while the cruiser collided with the foundation of a nearby home.
Four people inside the civilian vehicle, including the driver and three children, were taken to a hospital as a precaution. Officials said none of the injuries were serious. The police officer was also evaluated, and no residents inside the home were hurt, though the structure was declared unsafe pending further inspection. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
