What Can Happen After a Two-Vehicle Highway Crash?
Two-vehicle crashes on highways can happen for many reasons, including sudden lane changes, driver error, changing traffic conditions, or loss of control. After a collision, responders typically check everyone involved for injuries and work to move damaged vehicles away from active traffic areas.
Medical concerns, such as head injuries, may require additional evaluation because some symptoms are not always immediately visible after a crash. Investigators may review vehicle damage, roadway conditions, and other available information to better understand how the collision occurred. Clearing the roadway safely also helps reduce the chance of additional crashes.
