Randolph, MO (January 16, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident on Route JJ, approximately two miles west of Huntsville, left one man injured on Thursday morning in Randolph County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers and emergency crews responded at around 8:35 a.m. after a Kia Sedona collided with the rear of a Freightliner truck. The collision occurred as both vehicles were traveling eastbound, and preliminary findings indicate that the Kia failed to yield, causing the impact.
The 35-year-old male driver of the Kia, a resident of Moberly, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Moberly Regional Medical Center by Randolph County Ambulance. Officials confirmed that the man was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident. His vehicle sustained total damage and had to be towed by Palmatory’s Recovery and Towing.
The driver of the Freightliner, a 42-year-old man from Boonville, was reportedly uninjured and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. His truck sustained only minor damage.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and Westran Fire Department assisted at the scene alongside Trooper Schafer and Msgt Easley during the investigation and cleanup. Authorities are continuing to review the incident to determine any further contributing factors.
