Reading, PA (January 20, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles at the entrance to the Weis Markets on 1112 W Wyomissing Blvd in Spring Township on January 19 resulted in one person injured and another trapped inside a vehicle, prompting an urgent emergency response.
Crews responded to the scene around 6:07 p.m. and located one vehicle in the street and another with an occupant unable to exit due to the damage sustained in the crash. Fire and rescue personnel initiated extrication efforts to free the trapped individual, while EMS teams assessed injuries and began treatment.
At least one person was confirmed injured in the collision, though the severity of their condition has not been publicly disclosed. The presence of entrapment indicates that the crash impact was significant, and the roadway near the market entrance experienced temporary disruption as first responders secured the area.
