Richmond, VA (January 7, 2026) – A collision with injuries was reported Tuesday night at the intersection of Monument Ave and Westmoreland St in Richmond, leading to a swift response from police and emergency medical crews.
The crash took place at approximately 9:51 p.m., involving at least two vehicles in the heart of the city’s Museum District. Paramedics treated multiple individuals at the scene for injuries sustained in the collision. The full scope of those injuries has not yet been detailed, but several people were assisted by medical personnel on-site.
Traffic was impacted as emergency teams worked to stabilize the situation, clear the roadway, and assist those hurt. Monument Ave and Westmoreland St are both well-traveled routes, particularly during evening hours, and the incident led to minor congestion until the scene was cleared.
