Winston-Salem, NC (August 5, 2026) – A 68-year-old man succumbed to injuries on Monday morning, August 3, around 10:19 a.m., after his three-wheeled motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Union Cross Road and Solomon Drive in Winston-Salem.
Douglas Webb Couper was riding a Can-Am Spyder when a car entered the northbound lane of Union Cross Road and struck the motorcycle. Couper was thrown from the three-wheeled motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
