Frequently Asked Questions
Why is distracted driving so dangerous?
Taking eyes or attention off the road for even a few seconds can prevent a driver from reacting to sudden slowdowns or lane changes, which is often enough time to cause a crash on a fast-moving freeway.
How do weather and road conditions contribute to crashes?
Wet pavement, glare, or heavy traffic can reduce how much time a driver has to stop or steer away from danger, especially near merge points like freeway interchanges.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Riverside, CA
If you're involved in a crash on a Riverside freeway, safety comes first: get to the shoulder or center divider if you can do so safely, and turn on hazard lights. Seek a medical check promptly, keep copies of any police report or CHP incident number, and hold onto documentation related to the vehicles involved, including registration and insurance, in case questions come up later.
